I think that's what they do ....That and orgies ...Probably 3. You: "Hard to believe that after this episode ...We're going into the final season of SG-1" .....Yeaaaaah... Weird ...It seems like only yesterday you decided to take on the show full time 4. Daniel mentions Avalon and Atlantis as legends that have basis in fact ....Teal'c pitches in that the Easter Bunny is also based on fact and is shocked as both Daniel and Carter look at him disapprovingly .......Awww maaaan... Why'd you guys have to take that away from him?? ...Let the man have some fun looking for chocolate eggs around the SGC 5. You ask what the point of the Sodan cloaking devices was .....Sadly they never really use them (which is stupid) ...But the episode where Carter, Mitchell and Daniel got stuck out of phase was more about the device they found that showed text that you could ONLY. read when you're out of phase ....THAT. was the point of the episode ...Which then led to us finding out that there was a weapon out there that could destroy ascended beings 6. Yeah the knight went after that villager cause he had an object that belonged in Merlin's library ...You say it's kinda like Pirates Of The Caribbean ...One could also say it's kinda like that time the cave in 9x02 started collapsing cause Vala wanted to take a single gold coin with her as a souvenir 7. Ok... Seriously ....John Noble just told SG-1 to leave ...But in all honesty ...The FUCK. are a bunch of villagers with swords (I dunno.. That's probably the best they got) gonna do if we'd return with military troops armed with guns?? This guy has ZERO. business telling us to leave ....I mean... SURE. ...This is his village or whatever ....But c'mon ...Be real 8. Merlin puts sword in cave ...Merlin puts sword in Camelot ...You: "Merlin is just putting swords everywhere" ......I mean... Hey... Don't shame another man's kink I guess 9. You about the device Daniel and Mitchell are using: "This thing reminds me of the thing they used in Antarctica?" .....Not sure what you mean there ...BUT... This does look like the device prop that was used in the hidden room on Dakara AND. in the episode where O'neill and Teal'c got stuck in a time loop 10. You asked several times why the knight's sword isn't cutting into Mitchell ....IF. you remember (which you probably don't or you wouldn't be asking the question) ...In 9x02 Mitchell went up against a knight inside the cave ...The knight was a hologram ..Same as the one in this episode ...The sword doesn't wound a person but it does hurt a lot as pointed out in 9x02 (and shown in this episode) 11. Ok so Kvasir (Va as in Vala ...Va-seer) and Carter come up with a plan to potentially dial out to the Ori galaxy before The Ori dial in .....Their plan is to use the Supergate ....Great ...Cool ...They make it sound like it's easy peasy lemon squeezy ........One question .....What's the address to the Ori galaxy? 12. Yes Froots... Merlin's hologram was wearing the Sangraal ...But... I suppose Merlin likes to send people on quests... That cheeky bugger ...And besides ...It'd be too easy if SG-1 would just find the weapon in the season finale ...A weapon that can destroy ascended beings? ...If Merlin wanted to make sure it would fall into the right hands I guess the best plan was to hide pieces of the weapon on another planet .....John Noble just mentioned 3 "distant lands" where Arthur and his knights went to search for the Sangraal .....We've got our work cut out for us 13. Sooooo... While the U.S. has named their ships after myths, legends and constellations (Daedalus, Odyssey, Orion) ....The Russians apparently went with a more personal approach and named their ship after some guy named Korolev.. Who was apparently the head Soviet rocket engineer and designer during the space race between the U.S and the Soviet Union in the 1950's .....Kinda lame ...I like how the U.S named the ships 14. Kvasir just said he'd offer to go and reprogram the Supergate but that he can't cause we don't have a spacesuit that fits him ......Mah dude just bluffed and everyone fell for it ...Cause he came here by ship ...Are you telling me that there's not a perfect size Asgard spacesuit on HIS. ship??? ......Me thinks Kvasir is a bit lazy ....Or a bit of a wuss .....Nah.. Step your little grey butt aside mah dude ...Carter's got this! 15. Aaaaaand here... We.... GO! .....The Ori Toilet Seat Ships have arrived .....And oh.. Remember my note on 9x19 how we're able to dish out Daedalus class ships real easy now? ...added later... Welp ....I guess we need to step it up a notch cause we already lost one 16. Mitchell: "I only count 4 ships" ..Daniel: "It's probably the first wave" ...You: "Or that's ALL. The Ori that ever existed ...Could you imagine" .....HA! Yeah that'd be pretty funny ...All this hype and then THIS. is it??? ....Although that quickly went south as these 4 ships just basically massacred our entire fleet without any issue... Although we didn't have THAT. many ships there though... Kind of predictable we'd get our asses handed to us by a couple of ships built by people worshipping evil Ancients ....We should have brought much more firepower 17. I'mma nitpick here though ....The size comparison between the ships during the battle is WAY. OFF. ....The Asgard O'neill class ship SHOULD. be a few times bigger than the Daedalus class ships and the Ha'tak class motherships ........In order from size it should be going (big to small) ....Ori Warship > Asgard O'neill Class > Ha'tak Mothership > Daedalus Class .....But during this battle all our ships look the same size and kinda dwarf in comparison to the Ori Warships 18. Good job Teal'c ...You brought 3 ships to fight The Ori invasion ....I'm sure it'll help ..SMH 19. I'm kinda disappointed in the fact that The Asgard ship isn't doing some more damage to the Ori Warships ...You'd THINK. that a ship belonging to one of the 4 races of the Alliance would be a bit tougher and would able to take out at LEAST. one ship 20. You: "Ok... So... Which ship was destroyed??" referring to a Daedalus class ship getting blown up ....Yeeeeeaaaah... Which ship was it??? The Odyssey which had Mitchell on it? ...Or the Korolev which had Daniel on it?? ...Place your bets! .....And yeah ...4 Ori Warships made EASY. work out of our little fleet ...We are FUCKED! ..Indeed. 21. As for the season as a whole ....Season 9 while NOT. having many episodes that I care for DOES. make the show feel fresh again with the addition of a new enemy ...Ones who are MUCH. more powerful than the Goa'uld .....This entire season was one that had us lose a LOT. ....Which I think is good ...It showed how serious the threat of The Ori is ....And now they've gained a foothold into our galaxy with 4 OP ships ...JUST. 4 ships! ..4!!! ...We're gonna have to SOMEHOW. turn this around or we'll all be dead by the end of Season 10!

2024-04-14 04:17:59 +0000 UTCSubverting expectations was the phrase you were reaching for- though by the time you read these comments you'll have no idea what I'm talking about. Also you didn't need to announce the Hello Kitty shirt; by the end of the comments you had lifted it into camera view 9 times. I still say that must be an uncomfortable chair. Also my least favorite finale as well but if you think of it as a cliffhanger for a series finale it becomes in retrospect a little better.
