Over the Next Hill: Springs of Hverfell

The latest in our Over The Next Hill series of settlements which can be dropped into any campaign brings you Hverfell, located in a hidden verdant valley in the midst of unforgiving tundra. Investigate the Spitz Bathhouse, the Elemental observatory, or the Aviary. Meet the conjurer Leogard Brix or Mistress Ashley Leon of the Ochre Springs Bathworks. As always, the article presents significant NPCs, locations, plus plot hooks and rumors. By June Bordas; art by Phil Stone; cartography by June Bordas.

Perfect fit for my campaign!

It's a nice article and it's easy to adapt it to other systems. Although I play D&D 5 this town fits perfectly into my current 13th age campaign with minimum changes. I love specially the idea of the "elemental waters" that can heal. What about an adventure set in the town when the elementals that power the water gets angry (for some reason the players should investigate) and the water instead of healing begins to harm? (Maybe linked to the 'bloodied water' plot hook)

Another nice addition to my favorite En5ider series. In addition to the description of the town, its major personalities and locations, the article includes a painting of the town, a map, and leveled plot hooks. Hverfell would require more customization for low-magic settings, but it should be easy to drop into your campaign with minimum preparation.
