Ten years ago Klaymore put out its first album, Primed For Destruction, onto the internet. I know what you're thinking: "Katy I've never heard that album." Good! It's a mid scooped, metal zone covered mess because we lived in much simpler and incredibly barbaric times. I thought that putting together this collection would be interesting to show what all went into making the first album.
All of this material is prehistoric Klaymore from 2008-2010 before Primed For Destruction came out with the original lineup. I included our original 7-song EP, live recordings, some of the covers and whatever else we recorded in our basement practice space while we waited for everyone else to show up, some of the acoustic covers and alternate versions of songs I recorded when I figured out a way to plug my guitar into my computer's microphone input, some of the EDM remix versions of songs that I made in FL Studio because that was the first recording program I had and it came with 1,000 built in synths, and all of the demo versions I could find of songs that eventually ended up on Primed For Destruction. This was all ripped off of an old ipod that I had at the time, and there was one live show that I know was recorded that I couldn't find on any of my old hard drives, but if I ever come across it I'll upload it. (Sadly I also couldn't find the version of Hot and Cold by Katy Perry that I sang like Phil Anselmo)
Eventually the 7-song EP and maybe a few live versions will be on streaming services, but the rest will be only for you guys. Spotify doesn't really need our cover of Bad Romance that we recorded in mono. The demo of Torn From Reality is honestly the superior version of it out of the like three recordings of it that existed.
Thank you guys so much for the support, not just here on Patreon but anyone that's been following over the course of the last like 15 years now. Here's to making this next decade even more destrucioner
