In Times of Crisis (Thank You, Everyone)
Added 2020-04-04 11:50:29 +0000 UTCI'm a little late to this, but I wasn't sure how things would shake out at the beginning of the month, whether all of you would still be pledging or could even afford it, so I waited.
Now that things have cleared, let me say it plainly: thank you. All of you.
I know things aren't easy, right now. With the pandemic putting people out of work or isolating them in their own homes, I can't imagine all of you are as sure about where your finances and your futures are right now, either. Things are rough for everyone.
I wish I could tell you that I'm suspending payments for the duration of the CoViD-19 crisis. I wish I could, but I can't, because as far as I know, at this time, federal student loan payments aren't being suspended, either. I still have to make those payments every month. If I even get that stimulus check, it's not going to get here for a month or two, and it'll only cover a couple month's worth of my loans besides.
That's why, especially now, I'm incredibly thankful to all of you who continue to support me. You continue to make it possible for me to write like this, and your dedication and generosity mean more than even I (a writer of some skill, I'd like to think) can put into words.
