Feelings before a filter update.
Added 2018-08-31 10:46:15 +0000 UTCI'll be posting some teaser of what's coming in the next hours in a few seconds. This is more of a... empathic (?) post. I don't usually write such things, but there's the opportunity, so I decided to grasp it.
Right now, I'm sitting in a train in Lübeck waiting to go back to Hamburg.
I've just signed the contract to rent a flat here, I'm starting a new job in Lübeck, so this is good news, I wasn't very excited to drive back and forth to Hamburg every day because I wouldn't be able to find the fitting appartment.
The train is about to go off any minute. I hope it won't be too late, you never know with german trains.
In ~2 hours I'll be doing the filter update stream again, so the punctuality of the train is somewhat paramount, as it gives me time to breath.
I'm not a real streamer and it's hard to cover the feelings, while you're in one of these streams. Thousands of people are watching you, while you're programming something they look forward to use. It's a good feeling, but it does make you anxious.
You need to focus, keep your cool, not make any mistakes, cooperate, track chat, don't do anything stupid, react to the subs and bits. I don't usually pick my nose, but for some reason I have the weird phobia of doing it on stream unconsciously. Yikes.
We've been preparing for this update since over a week. FilterBlade has received substantial changes and upgrades, to include all of the new features, I've checked it and my filter 100 times. Still, something might go wrong. This is after all one the largest patches, I've ever released.
At the same time, I'm super hyped. Delve looks exciting, several streamers have provided special sound packages, I'm hyped to show and deliver you guys all of the new features and see what kind of awesome stuff, you'll be making with the things we've implemented.
I'm excited to try out the stupid scion, double herald, coming calamity idiotic null's inclanation build I've designed.
In short. I'm hyped, I'm anxious and ready to delve into both programming and the endless depth.
Thank you for your support and I hope to see you on stream.
