[News] Progress this week!

Just passing by to report what we’ve been working on over the past week!
Most of our efforts have been focused on fixing programming issues and optimising assets, bringing us closer each day to getting the game into the shape we envision before we begin expanding it again. We’re also nearing completion of the implementation of the new Toysystem UI and plan to push some small tweaks to the cutscenes as well.
This month’s patron demo will include a “debug level” that you can select when starting a new game. This will be the first iteration of the prologue content. Please note that the quests and cutscenes will be mostly incomplete or may not function as intended due to the necessary programming for NPCs to work well with level streaming, which we haven’t had time to address yet. As a result, there may be instances where Kalyskah or NPCs are placed beneath the landscape, flicker to another region of the map, or behave oddly. This is to be expected because the current prologue layout differs from the previous one, and NPCs may occasionally move into areas that haven’t been fully loaded.
We will share this rough version of the prologue with you in the next few days to gather feedback and ensure we’re on the right path performance-wise compared to before. Our main concern right now is ensuring the game runs smoothly and that its basic functionalities are solid, as this will provide a stable foundation for implementing new content and quests without unexpected issues later on.
The goal is to release the new demo by Friday or Saturday morning.
