2025-05-21 12:36:24 +0000 UTCI don't think the chapter dragged at all. These are usually my favorite types of chapters. A lot of people can write action well, but few can do characterization as well as you. Case in point, this power imbalance between humans and demons/angels is super intriguing. Now there's extra meaning to the relationships David and Mia have formed. The sex is about fun and stress relief, yeah, but also about this tragic longing to be closer to life. The bit about Caera admitting that she's fantasized about eating David was brilliant, too. Totally consistent with what we know about how demon psychology works. It's got the added bonus of injecting some danger into the sex. While I'm heaping on praise, I liked how you've handled Azreal's backstory. So far with what we've seen of humans in Heaven in the main story and the prequels, they're just kind of fixed pretty quickly by copious sex with angels. The idea that Odette was just sitting quietly with Azreal for years is very sweet.
