Plan of action: Price hike. Yeap, it sucks, but it's either do this or steer away from Patreon.
33%. I set the original prices 7 years ago, so a 33% increase in the prices is mostly covering for inflation (29% in that time frame, yikes), and a bit to try and get this Patreon profitable. The new prices will be $4/8/12/40 USD for the four tiers, and I'll make the switch early January.
The switch takes a month to kick in, so you'll get an e-mail in early January saying the prices have increased, but won't apply on your next bill, so we won't see the actual price increase take effect until March for most patrons. And then I can evaluate the viability of the future of this Patreon a little better.
Patreon did pay me back for the 2 months their mistake screwed me out of a chunk of my income, by the way. https://www.patreon.com/posts/switch-to-update-114180576 They paid me a little more than they needed to, too, so good on them.
