This is... SAD. VERY SAD. But it's really well done and I really enjoyed watching it, so thank you so much for the request! The late great Roger Ebert described Grave of the Fireflies as one of the most profoundly human films he’s ever seen that just happens to be animated. It’s a reminder that now matter how righteous a war seems to be (eliminating Nazis etc.) there is always going to be a terrible human cost.

It's really sad and painful to watch a 13 year old just make mistake after mistake, snowballing the way it does. Also, fuck them rich folxs that just ignored them as they passed by. Eat the Rich!!! (Maybe this time literally considering the circumstance.)
