Issue regarding Triple R
Added 2024-09-07 22:02:16 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I know its not the 15th or 30th but i need to ask you guys something.
Celsius had to get 2 credits removed to not surpass the 2gb android limit for APKs. But Triple R will be more than double the scope and size. Unfortunately that means the full game wont be able to be installed on Android devices.
I wanna ask if you all would be able to play RRR using Joiplay, It pains me to not being able to just give ya an APK, but at this point it is the platform that's limiting the game.

You may also want to double check your compression settings? You should be able to tune the compression more for smaller file sizes without sacrificing too much quality? It may also be possible to use a different compression algorithm?

2024-09-07 23:49:42 +0000 UTCYee I guess what you saying. Still with that would be a lot of images. And for Celsius the size issue is resolved. The issue will be with RRR in the future. Since it already has more scenes than Celsius being less than halfway done.

2024-09-07 23:47:15 +0000 UTCI'm saying that as someone that have no ideia of how you're dealing with that, but I imagine you could do that without making a different image for "each slide"... what I'm saying here might be a nightmare to program because of the number of names, yeah... But, what if you use a static background image, but the names are just text covering the screen like a giant tittle of multiple lines (let's say, 4 rows and 6 lines, that way you'd able to show 24 names/sec)

2024-09-07 23:39:21 +0000 UTCWhat if instead of rolling text, we have an wall o lf text with a bunch of names centered on screen with a somewhat fast 'auto-forward' (I'd say 1 or 2 seconds) but plain text, not a video file and with the same background images we have today. That way people could 'skip' the credits by button mashing or let it auto progress like an slide show (but with an fading effect if possible?)
