He releases a huge chunk here first and then publish it in print later (or at least that's how it works with Sunstone/mercy) :)

The final panel of page 48 is such a good visual reveal, perfectly set up by having the feature either fully out of frame, or partially and not drawn attention to, in all panels up until then. And the split frame on page 49, gosh. Really nice framing all around.

2020-11-15 23:29:49 +0000 UTCWell, if Dreamer has any malicious hidden motives, the cliché way to handle it is to make Clara keep the secret until the end of 2nd act when it f*cks up everything. I don't think Stjepan will play the cliché straight but still think that team will learn EVERYTHING only by the end of 1st act/mid 2nd. I'm already overhyping myself about a lot of things, so this I'm playing safe and count "team learn about Dreamer" as separate WTF reaction from "team sees how 100% dead Clara just freaking wakes up with 0% «enemy's energy hurts» consequences". Though, it would be incredibly cool if by the end of this WTF scene they found out about the Dreamer making next WTF scene closer than I expect

I think next episode Clara will just try to see if Bernie trusts Mia (speaking of - why would she not like her? She saved Sam and others repeatedly, convinced her dad to help Clara and others and done so much more) My prediction is that everyone will learn about Dreamer in the end of the next update

What I got instead was insanely cool and at the same level of "HELL YEAH!!!", but that damn cliffhanger reminded me that I have to wait 2 more months to see team's "WTF?" reaction (and now Clara's "hey guys, I have two news! The good one is that THAT didn't kill me. On a completely unrelated note, hey Bernie, how do you like Mia?..."). I'd better get one of those cryonic deal to freeze myself for next decade and wake up to see all DV volumes finished

Also - from Death Vigil #3 there is an episode when a necromancer is running away from Clara and her "passenger" is telling her to run. It called Clara "The Beast" and "The Devourer", so i thought one of those was a name for Clara

When I first read "the Dreamer's codex" and "the Dreamer's sigil" I thought it from the same category as "the sight of Solomon". Some powerful artifact from the times long past made by some powerful dude we won't see in the story. I had assumed the Dreamer was a necromancer like Abyss and didn't pay much attention to it. I didn't expect it to be the primordial inside the Clara (And his words that "Bernie slayed me first time I got out" just confirm that he isn't an ace up the Clara's sleeve, but rather wild card that can backfire). So much "throwaway" lines from vol. 1 now got completely different meaning. There is so much worldbuilding I don't have words to describe it. And I don't even remember if the tower was called "dreamer's tower" or not. I can clearly see how everything can fly under the radar of someone who wasn't re-reading vol. 1 for months and how when V2 is finished the "Dreamer may hide something" can become a shocking plot twist for a lot of readers who just got recommendation to read DV
