Q&A - Part 2

Here is Part 2 and in case you missed it, here's part 1:
https://youtu.be/LqWd-2xZRwo

I've attached the audio only to this file as well.  Hope ya'll enjoy and we appreciate the support!  Sorry if we got a little loopy at parts, film time I think was close to 8 hours on this one!

Q&A - Part 2

Comments

You guys really suck at these. 😁 They are only saved by the fact that you re a lot of fun to hang out with.

Thomas C. Bogan

I really would enjoy more Reprocussion because as you have mentioned, I can get those, and the ammunition, I just don't know enough about the specifics to pick a good revolver/revolving rifle. The main show is great, but I've got a sorta similar situation where work has consumed my life, I've honestly never really had the opportunity to handle WW1 milsurps, and now isn't a good time to start.

lovot

Again, again!

About the need for a holiday, even if you don;t go anywhere, you need to take some "me time" to chill out, othersise you'll burn out. If you made an announcement "no videos for one month" I'm sure your fans would understand. Then you could take two weeks to yourself to chill, and the rest of the month to just research without the pressure of having to juggle a video schedule etc.

Michael 66

Listening to the Q&A in stages - I have to admire your stamina for do it the way you have, thanks.

Michael 66

RTI will never admit to doing anything wrong. Bought a Colt M16 kit that stated it had an original barrel. When received it was the correct shape, but was some no name garbage that was the wrong twist and had none of the correct markings. They swore up and down that it was original until I pointed out it did not even have pin slots to hold the front sight. Once that was brought up they stopped responding and changed the description.

Kevin Reichert

Great two parter, very amusing, thanks both !

Andy Oshea

Ever play Marathon? You guys sure deserve a break after this session! Whooo!...

Bruce Brodnax

As a New Jerseyan born and bred, I must chastise you for your pizza comments. Pizza is not merely a delivery vehicle, sir. If you’re in central Jersey or nearby, reach out, I’ll set you up with the good stuff.

Jeffrey Benfer

I'm a "professional" historian with all the degrees and I love you guys!

Dr. B

Making my lesson plans for History lesson at school.

Rodrigo de Piérola

Perfect, even looks like a battle.

C&Rsenal

Oh nice, those are neat and fairly practical from what I understand.

C&Rsenal

I mean, I go outside sometimes.

C&Rsenal

Give her a hug for us

C&Rsenal

whatcha doing?

C&Rsenal

I suppose waving an antique around would not be much better as such would nit be discovered prior to intervention. Not how I want to see C&Rsenal gain exposure either. However, if it could be done safely and legally, it might be a good promo... Like a calendar. I would buy that calendar, probably more than once.

I can highly recommend pineapple on pizza, try it with BBQ rather than tomato sauce. It will change your life.

Paul Nixon

Listening to your thoughts about libraries, museums, curators and historians rings bells with me. I have a BA in History from Virginia Colossus University with no post graduate work. My affinity for the history of technology/machinery is what got me through college. I am now retireded [pun], whew! I spent my career in archives and libraries, fairly serious places too, usually National something. Academic snobbery rules, especially in non-corporate entities. Without my sheepskin I was a plod, no matter my experience, knowledge or skills. In my view, as knowledgeable plod, you are a highly competent researcher and historian. I have a well developed malarkey meter, I'm hearing sirens frequently. I have never heard alarms when viewing your content, thank you. I believe that your evaluation of museums' hierarchy is accurate, their academics and oversight folks will be unlikely to want to deal with you. The dirty handed curators will recognize your talent, but have no real power. I have/had about half a dozen firearms that you have presented and an equal number of ones you will eventually review, you have answered many questions. Your comment about Colt and Harley nearly took me out of my chair, I ride a Husqvarna 610SM.

Robert Finley

Almost done with it, I am rationing, as I think the last hour will be comedy gold. I am a patron (snap to attention, Othias). I checked who I send $ to on my account last month, and found you are the most. That makes me happy. Hope you can keep making whatever you want as long as you want, and in the unlikely situation we have a chance to meet up, I will be sure to say hello to both of you. Meanwhile, don't feel bad about using funds to improve the casa, etc. You can't live somewhere and have the roof or walls falling in. I'm sure I'll rewatch this again, as parts of it I watched like Mae watches movies.

Drizzle

I enjoyed the first part of the CANDRSEATHON but the end of PART II was touching on sleep deprived comic genius. It was like the Night Watch without dragons and Bearhuggers! The stuff about museums was also useful for me for future 'discussion with extreme prejudice' with museum marketing departments: and the Jonathon Ferguson story was cute. He's a good bloke, always happy to not only answer questions, but willing to chat as well. You'll like Leeds (though there are better places nearby).

Bradwan

Worth every second 👍🏻

You guys always make me think of the relationship my wife and I have. We met through a common interest/passion, we had the same job for the same company for years, and heading into 42 years of marriage, I couldn't be happier. Best to you both!

Alden Skinner

Hunter ROCKS!

Alden Skinner

I've been working on my stuff, even my own video editing, while watching/listening to both Parts.

Rodrigo de Piérola

You must be the one who time stamps songs on concert YouTube videos, which makes you sir, a saint.

Milsurp Mike

Im fine with that, thanks!

Gage

Othias has explained it before, basically there is their C&Rsenal existence and there is their private existence, they choose to keep them separate so you won't get a direct answer.

GWTpict

Bloody hell that must have taken you some time to do

Planescaped

Downloaded them all for my daily commute.

Hunter Compton

Can anyone tell me what the answer to the question "are yall married" meant? I mean it was funny but Im genuinely curious because for years Ive recommended people watch C&Rsenal, they watch an episode, then they ask "so is it like a Husband and Wife show?" And Ive never had an answer. Not that it matters

Gage

I finally got to the part where my question was answered! I wish I had phrased my question better... but now I know for next year! Anyways, that walther Submachinegun does sound pretty awesome if Im going to be honest. Im going to try to remember that. Id love to try to build one as a side project just to see if it could have ever been possible

Gage

While COVID's delayed a lot of stuff this past year's episodes have been enjoyable and coming from the much earlier stuff the production values have improved greatly. The hand trap and reprocussion series have been very enjoyable. Things might be on hold but I'm sure things will look up soon.

Chris Stochaj

With pineapple on pizza, the idea is to replace the tomato sauce with some type of BBQ sauce, although I think it's perfectly fine with regular tomato sauce too. It's pretty common to add chicken, bacon (of course) and maybe a few veggies.

Josey

I replaced regular TV with youtube shows I liked back in 09,

Planescaped

Thanks guys for an entertaining six plus hours. Spent it listening to you both and loading 45ACP. Best from sunny Malta!

Mick Gillen

I mean, I still get fixated regularly. It's just that determination has replaced excitement

C&Rsenal

lol

C&Rsenal

Well I've talked to a lot of those guys. They are great.

C&Rsenal

Not sure why i am typing but i am compelled. I was surprised to here that i am not the only weirdo that has not watched tv in years. last time i watched broad cast tv was 07. i own my own buisness working on classic cars for over a decade and have no time other than work and family. I have been in the same point you are with classic guns. They are interesting but not exciting. i have lost customers because i was not giddy with excitement to work on their "rare" car. I am thankfull you found a way to articulate something i could not. For some reason knowing others are passionate about what they do but not excited about every aspect gives me some semblance of peace. Ya'll keep doing you, I appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to answer my worthless car question the answers were fantastic.

Maz

that was totally wicked!

Gunner Dupree

I think the 3rd party buyer thing was referencing either straw purchases or trying to circumvent backgrounds. Which as you said, all kinds of ATF fuckery

Veteran of the Mushroom Wars

At the point where Othias starts looking at the guns on the wall, you can tell ya'll have lost your cookies. Also, funny as it would be, please don't wave a firearm in public, with or without dinosaur. It seems both unsafe and prone to law enforcement intervention, which really doesn't work out well for anyone. Yes I am taking this too seriously. ;)

Veteran of the Mushroom Wars

Although it is out of your way, Dinosaur Park (https://www.travelsouthdakota.com/rapid-city/entertainment/parksplaygrounds/dinosaur-park) would be better than a Sinclair. Conversely, there is Sinclair dino near me, if you need a proof of concept...

Andrey Gardner

A professional historian would be either someone who works as an educator in history or is an author on the subject. Educational credentials really aren't relevant to be "professional" tbh I consider someone a professional historian once they've published a book.

History&Coffee

6hrs 😬 nice..

Mae Responding: Us? Crazy? No...

C&Rsenal

I hope you didn't do these in one sitting, but you seem crazy enough to try it. I'll take the rest of the week to watch it.

Robert Santamaria

I'm salivating, unfortunately can't spend time until tomorrow or later.

So much amazing content
