even somewhat more than just that I am afraid (one needs a reason to own firearms here, I am into sporting shooting btw). silencers just got some changes as thermal scopes, too. now as "necessary parts" as barrels and bolts a reason needed for the purchase (hunting only for now whole other rules there). I would have zero interest myself in a can, however many hope sportive use could follow.

Sounds like some complicated gun laws. But what about silencers? I heard (at least a few years ago) that silencers are encouraged for hunting, so as to cut down on noise pollution

that's partly wrong. one does ińeed a course with exam for reloading and/or muzzleloader. the propellant, both blackpowder and smokeless, need a differant license than firearms or cartridges. later is one sort of firearms licence, powder is explosive laws. --- now to the firearms: muzzleloaders are so called "free weapons" to buy for any over 18years. one does NOT need any firearm license as long as: one shot and one barrel. one can gat the firearm, bullets, caps if needed without any license just not the powder. for say a doublebarrel or revolver ... that would have to go on a "yellow" firearm ownership card for sportive shooters. a semiauto is on "green" firearm ownership card as are handguns and pump shotguns. way WAY more complicated and troublesome procedure to get. believe me, have both type of cards and everything on green is a big pain in th rear. hope that helped.

I heard on another channel, might have been inrange or bloke, that muzzleloaders are illegal in Germany without an explosives license. It would be easier to get a semiauto rifle than a musket or blunderbuss.

They make several different types, less sensitive for rifles, more sensitive for sticking under clays, others set up to work with air guns, and even backyard-friendly ones that flash but don't bang. A really excellent range of products. I've never had a dud ( but shoot them back to front and they won't go off). They aren't cheap, but the fun is worth the money IMO.

I used to work at a gun range where we sold tannerite, and I would have to mix it for customers (then set it up on the range and let them shoot it), and man, that stuff takes FOREVER to shake to mix. And if you dont shake it enough it doesnt explode very well. So these would be AWESOME. Just buy a pack, put them on target, then boom!
