British Grand Prix review (ad-free)

Edd Straw is joined by Mark Hughes and Jon Noble to review a dramatic wet-dry British Grand Prix in which the home crowd went home happy having witnessed a Lando Norris victory - but Norris's team-mate Oscar Piastri was left upset by a stewards' call that likely lost him the win. We discuss whether the stewards got the call right.

There's also plenty of chat about Nico Hulkenberg's hugely popular first podium finish in F1, and how the Sauber driver was able to rise from P19 on the grid to the top 3, holding off Silverstone specialist Lewis Hamilton in the process.

Max Verstappen, Mercedes, Pierre Gasly, Ollie Bearman and more are also discussed, plus the guys tackle the usual big batch of questions sent in by The Race Members' Club.

*The guys were battling some technical issues while recording this, so we apologise for the patchy sound quality in places

Am I the only one that find the ad about the Singapore Grand Prix obtrusive when paying for an "ad-free"podcast?

Is there anything in regs about when safety car is to be recalled? Because if not, all of the rules about leader taking control is BS. Same for talk about erratic behavior compromising safety - restarting with no time for the drivers to properly bring tires up to temp (especially in rain where breaks are the primary source of heat) is reckless. To me it's a case of FIA adhering to rules to a fault. Ideally they'd penalize Piastri but also acknowledge that they messed up and will do better in the future. But they didn't and they won't.
