There's been a lot of stuff going on that has kept me busy over the last few months. The most important of these is that I've been negotiating a lot with the people at MuseScore and I'm now finally in a place where I can quit the day job at Microsoft and begin working on their editor instead. So, I'm going to be heading up the design of MuseScore from November onwards. There are multiple advantages to this, not least of which, it allows me a lot more time to work on YouTube videos. (My Tantacrul channel won't be used for MuseScore announcements or adverts, so don't worry about that)
Secondly, I've just begun my Dorico review. I've already done a lot of research and have started writing the script in earnest. I'm obviously going to be candid about the fact that I'm now actively contributing to one of their competitors and I'll just appeal to people to judge for themselves whether my critique is fair and unbiased. I've not even reached my major conclusions about Dorico yet. There's some lovely stuff but also some some crazy crap too. If anyone has any comments about Dorico, feel free to DM me.
Lastly, the 5 Composers video I helped shoot for David Bruce's channel will be released soon (it features Adam Neely, Ben Levin and Bec Plexus). I'm very happy with how the orchestra handled my performance and I'm in the middle of mixing all the audio now. It shouldn't be too long before the video is out and I hope you watch it.
I'd also mention that Patreon is now beginning to slightly help me carve out time for more YouTube stuff. It's still early days and I need to recruit a lot more people but I'm optimistic that I'll be able to start YouTubing full time in the next year or two. So... thanks a lot for sticking with me up until now. I seriously appreciate it.

Do you think you could convince them to implement a caret-style input method à la Noteworthy?

After a while, we did a bit of design work and design planning on some or the more detailed editing problems and they eventually asked me to take over the design altogether. So about 5 months of collab led up to this.
