Umiko vs Ashley - Utilization of Assets

You all have been patiently waiting so here we go, the match of the month featuring Umiko Sakaguchi vs Ashley Divine in an Iron Woman Match is here! By the end of the match, things will come so close to the wire, that the ending would be shocking, to say the least.

Right at the initial staredown, Umiko and Ashley had the opportunity to size up the other and get a feel for what their foe was all about. By the time they were in their own corner, one another had thoughts of pure hatred for their opposition. Umiko was totally rubbed the wrong way by how Ashley presented herself as this college alpha girl and how she THINKS she’s better than everyone else. While Ashley, accomplishing quite a bit in the indie scene, believed Umiko was this pompous elite in how she failed to acknowledge Ms. Divine’s status AND incorrectly believed that she was part of “The Divine Stable”- THE NERVE! This was Ashley’s original name and that faction stole HER NAME and not the other way around! So as the two sat in their corner, glaring at each other from the other ends, both similarly wished to knock their opponent down a peg.

In a turn of events, it would be Ashley Divine getting out to an early lead showing that she had the superior grappling skills and was able to muster the taller Umiko to the ground. From there, The Divine Damsel inflicted embarrassing smother maneuvers that quite literally showed off a bit of Ashley’s assets to Umiko’s embarrassment. In one scenario, the Sea Serpent was resting on the bottom rope of the ring after she was put in Ashley’s Embrace Divinity submission finisher where she was forced to tap out. Not a moment after, the LA brat decided Umiko didn’t suffer quite enough and decided to take a fine seat on the back of Umiko’s head. Thus forcing the Japanese wrestler to be choked across the bottom set of the ring. This of course was an illegal maneuver that the referee was counting via a disqualification count. But in a shocking twist, Ashley purposely allowed herself to be disqualified while she choked out Umiko with her trusty peaches. By the time she let her foe go, Umiko was already unconscious and Ashley had no problems taking a seat on her KO’ed opponent’s face to run up the score to 3-1 with 40 minutes left on the clock.

Even though down 2 scores, the Leviathan elite was far from out in this match! Getting a feel for what her opponent was all about, Umiko decided that if Ashley wanted to utilize her assets in the match- the Sea Serpent believed that she should too! Giving Ms. Divine a fine taste of what some powerful legs were like, Umiko made her best efforts to smother her egotistical foe with her melon crushers at every opportunity she had. This change of plans would pay dividends as Umiko would be able to tie the score at 3.

Although these seem to be close, one or the other would barely pull away before the other could eventually tie things back up. Back-and-forth these two A-listers would get the better of their opposition until only a few minutes remained on the clock. With the score both tied at 6- Ashley and Umiko knew they had to turn the heat up! Rapid near falls, punishing submissions, and embarrassing holds- the race up to 7 was on and it could very much be picked up by either of them. But in the phantom last minute of the bout, as the two ladies scrapped, Umiko would be able to land her signature Lily Lullaby- Jumping Side Kick finisher before attempting a last-minute pin on Ashley. With only 4 seconds left in the bout, Umiko desperately urged the referee to start the pin count, but the referee was just too slow on the count. Before his hand could hit the mat for 3, the bell would ring. Before Umiko could react, a hand would reach out and shove her across the face as Ashley would “kick out” just in time when the time had already ran out. As the ladies separated from each other, both in their own way were disappointed that this match ended in a draw- but both equally looked quite interested in continuing the bout as they stared at the other while they laid on the mat.

Will a future bout between Ashely and Umiko go down?!? And if so who would be the one to pick up the definitive win between these two? And will the match go down on our main page instead~ All we can say, is stay tuned for that possible rematch!
