Is this thing on?

After trying out that first Scorbunny video, I thought it would be easier if I could record my voice track live as I played, so the movement of the "puppets" actually matched what I was saying better.  Plus, editing footage with synchronous sound is easier in a lot of ways.

Alas, there are several pitfalls.  The first is Sound Quality, which is abysmal.  It is pretty atrocious in its own right, but compared to my standalone audio recorder, the computer mic sounds like complete ass.  I even went and bought a "better" one but it still sounds bad.  I messed with every setting I could find and I don't know what else to do.

The other pitfall is Puppeteering Skill, which presumably I will get better at over time.  How do these kids do it?  I labeled my mistakes in the first segment; see if you can spot the rest.

Maybe I'm being too picky.  Do these segments sound okay to you?  Which one sounds the best?

Ah! That should be a good mic. More testing with the Jlab mic I guess?

One was a Logitech gamer headset, and one was a Jlab "GoTalk" usb mic. The GoTalk box claimed "studio quality sound" but I think that's only true if your studio is in a subway station.

The sound quality is lesser than the scor bunny video, I would say. What was the microphone you used for this video?

The sound quality was the point of this post. Actual story videos will still have to be produced and edited; just recording synchronous sound will save me a step. The question was, do any of these clips SOUND okay?

My boobs aren't big enough for that to be worthwhile.

Are you going to stream on Twitch? That would be cool.

The first scor bunny video was better. I know the editing takes time but it's better for the skit. Or you could try finding other people to play and control characters. But again it's more work.... Also there is VRChat
