So hard to tell in this season. There was plenty of time to do storytelling or show what happened BTS with creating the looks…. But instead all we saw was negative comments about Nelly??? Another question I have is … who made Alyssa’s outfit? ☠️

I think it can be enjoyable when the queens themselves are in on the joke and play into the idea // come up with it themselves. But when Rupaul suggests for X ethnicity/language to do Y stereotype thing… it’s tired. There are other ways to be funny lol

And the fact Ru laughed like that when Nehellenia was clearly not in on the joke was tone deaf af. This whole Global All Stars has been extremely unfair and insensitive towards international queens and it’s hard to watch. On paper I thought it’d be a refreshing season with diverse perspectives of drag from around the world, but instead it’s a bitchfest with a lot of “othering” on full display.

Nehellenia did not overreact or throw a tantrum. She never dissed Kitty’s taste. She was stressed that the fabric was difficult to work with. How Kitty kept being offended and making it about her, instead of offering some help as a team member was disgusting. Calling Nehellenia “thick” behind her back for using the stretch fabric as lining, instead of giving her advice - who’s the cow now?

I was so mad watching Kitty talk about her fabrics and saying they’re expensive and too beautiful for Nelly… when Nelly said her issue was the fabric was difficult to use for her skill set, not that they were ugly. I used to LOVE Kitty and Kween but omg I fast forward their parts because they’re becoming bullies. Alyssa is teetering that line for me as well but I also expected Alyssa’s behaviour because of how famous she is in the drag/drag race world. Kitty and Kween make me dread this season now. If/when they make it to the finale I’m going to be annoyed and not want to watch drag race.

It took a long time for me to accept it and embrace it. Nehellenia has shown previously her insecurity when speaking English, and for Kitty to mock her accent/English/Italian. I was offended, and I’m watching at home; it wasn’t directed at me. It was extremely inappropriate, and for RuPaul to laugh… oof
