Queendom Puzzle Episode 6 - REACTION

Queendom Puzzle Episode 6 - REACTION

Completely agree that there too many final members I want! Came in with my bias picks and have been changing every week! It’s also cool to see new people get some limelight!

Russell McInnes

-my ranking for this week 1 WEB 2 GLOW UP 3 BAD BLOOD 4 OVERWATER 6Team Bad Blood yes there were a few mistakes but without that it would be one of the best performances I've seen on a Queendom show. the reference to the movie Malena was a very good idea, the set with the headquarters of the game of throne series on the screen being very cool, the group of girls was incredibly charismatic and very pretty and I love the song which is very addictive. the thing is that it's a round where the dance is judged and it is true that on this point they made small mistakes. -Team OVERWATER so even if the songs speak to me less than Bad blood, the group did an excellent job, their choreography was perfect, and the members matched the concept perfectly, especially Fye and Miru, congratulations to Soojin for that part which was not easy and congratulations to Dohwa / Chanmi for having perfectly led the group because for Miru and Fye who are not always present to train with the rest of the group, each choreography is harder. - WEB-Team I think that has our legendary performance this season. I really like Bad blood but as they made some mistakes I think the web team is ahead. all the members shine even though Yeoreum and Zoa didn't catch my attention anymore, the work with the ribbons was amazing my favorite performance this season so far. - Team Glowup very good surprise can be the most "queendom" performance that we had with an intro, props, staging etc... the choreography was quite hard and I would like to highlight Elly who nobody talks about. I really like the group Weki Meki I was convinced that after the separation of I.O.I the group which had recovered 2 very popular members Doyeon and Yoojung was going to be successful. but no, they did not succeed in breaking through. Elly is a very good singer and in weki meki she was one of the members who had the most charisma. I hope that through this show people will get to know her.

- Tip: Hwiseo is pronounced as Hwi-seo (Wee-soh), not Hwi-se-o. Oh, looks like you were already correcting yourself later on 👍 - "I want too many members in the final lineup". I know right? 😄 In the end I tried to pick 5 ppl to drop. That was still hard af. - Yes, she meezmerizing 😍 - "If they would've mentioned Dohwa's group then I would be like: interesting". Technically, AOA hasn't disbanded and still has 3 members, including Dohwa. But yeah, she changed her own name to emphasize independence from AOA, so it would be weird. On the other hand, JooE was announced earlier as Momoland JooE, so maybe it was up to each contestant. Bad Blood - I think all of them danced well. Sangah was great. Too bad Mnet has only eyes for the mistakes. Overwater - It's a water theme, and the music is groovy, so I really wish they incorporated some waves (wave movements). I mean, the move is even called a "wave"... Would've fit so well. - About the split move, its a nice move and fits the song, but I had exactly the same criticism as you did. The back leg just flops on the ground. It wasn't like that when the choreographer showed it. Why wasn't that corrected? - Yes! Impurities! I couldn't put my finger on it before. - That little break moment where the girls were chatting took me out of it a bit. Maybe something else would've been better. It's difficult for me to pick a winner of these 2 teams because of Mnet emphasizing so much on the Bad Blood mistakes, it's hard to recall the good things 😡 Web - Yuki really fits the vibe of that song. Could've been a PK song. - Jihan and Bora seemed a little invisible. Maybe on purpose as they are usually very cute. - So I guess they still had to do the negative criticism for each other 😑 Glow Up - Even though it seemed like they were nailing that move where they pulled Elly onto something/someone, they simplified it during the live stage by just pulling her onto the ground. The move was executed ok, but the landing and timing were absolutely perfect 👌 - Hwiseo still killing everything - Yeah, I can't choose a winner either - Looks like Mnet has somehow succeeded in making the revealment of the results even more annoying 😑

- With each passing week, the vote gets harder and harder. I can vote for 7 but I want to vote for like 20 of them. - I would really like to know the precise number scores because I have a feeling that Wannabe vs Time of Our Life was very close. - See, that's what I'm saying! You're listing all the people I also want in this group. This is the problem with a show consisting exclusively of debuted idols. EVERYONE is just way too talented. It's why I still haven't locked in my vote for this week. - I don't have a preference with the dance battle. Both looked equally good to me so I would've been fine with either result. - Well, they do always mention Momoland for JooE even though that group is also disbanded. So I don't actually know what the criteria is for mentioning or not mentioning a disbanded group's name. - A tought I just had: this show was broadcast on TV. Maybe they're showing these recaps for people who tuned into this show late, just to keep everyone up to speed? Bad Blood - When I first watched this episode, I actually paused it here to watch the full performance without interruptions on Youtube first. And I honestly didn't really notice most of the little mistakes. Aside from the fire, they don't really stick out that much. Yes, I know that not everything went to plan but I'm still a huge fan of this performance. The choreo is just hella sick. Plus, I'm someone who is easily influenced by the songs themselves and Bad Blood is my favourite song out of the four. Overwater - Didn't know Jiwoo could be so creepy - I'm a bit torn here. Personal bias goes towards Bad Blood but I can't ignore the fact that Overwater was pulled off completely flawlessly. Not a single mistake in there. I wouldn't be surprised if Overwater takes this round. - Fake out fake out Web - I was kinda underwhelmed by this on my first watch. But seeing it again now, this is some really good stuff. It's got a certain allure about it that the others don't have. Glow-up - Yeonhee, what was that gesture 🤨 - As good as Web was, Glow-up is just much more exciting to me. The energy! And the way Elly was thrown looked so safe and stable. I really appreciate that. The whole package is just perfect here. I think you should have watched at least one more minute. They explain some pretty damn important stuff about the show going forward. As for my vote this week, here's the problem. I want to vote for Nana, Dohwa, Riina, Bora, Sangah, Soeun, Suyun, Soojin, Elly, Yeoreum, Yeonhee, Yeeun, Zoa, Juri, Jiwoo, Jihan, Kei, Fye and Hwiseo. That's 19 people. I am not allowed to vote for 19 people. I think I'll go for some people I haven't voted for in the past. Aside from my fixed top 3 of Nana, Bora and Hwiseo of course. So the other four would be Soeun, Soojin, Elly and Zoa in this case? Argh, this is so not satisfying. This is honestly worse than Boys Planet.

they have a little less than 2 weeks to learn their choreography which is normally more than enough for an idol. most can learn a choreography in 2 or 3 days, the most gifted in an afternoon. what becomes complicated is if they have several choreographies to learn for the same show.

yes it's Kwon Eunbi you got her name right .

in truth if they have this base on their hard work they all deserve to be in the final groups. if we base it on talent and skills a good part of them can also end up in the final groups. so people will go there with their favorite. personally my top 7 is still a bit open but for now my 7 favorites are 1 Ba-Nana (she is a very good dancer, rapper and she sings she can suit several positions in the future group. She can be a leader since she is with Woo! ah) this choice is sealed for me) 2 Kei no need to say that these vocal talents are very above average and she could also be a good leader of her experience (choice not sealed because if it's Bora that's very good too) 3 Yeeun multitalented girl she can do everything and she gives off an aura that works just as well in a girl crush concept as in a cuter concept. She also has a lot of experience. sealed 4 Jihan very beautiful voice and very big stage presence I think it would be a good addition to the vocal line of the group whether it's Kei, Bora or both. sealed 5 Yeoreum I see her well with Nana to organize the choreography of the group they are 2 very good dancers who will go very well together. 6 JURI she has a lot of talent but I chose her mainly for her ultra positive state of mind she could be the mood maker of the group a bit like Sana in Twice I really like this girl. sealed 7 the last position could be for 3 girls i like. Miru she hasn't shown her full potential yet but she has a crazy charisma and a very big experience she is also very cool and a real good person. Hwiseo I discovered her in this show and she has potential that could be a good addition for the group. Fey is also an interesting member with a lot of varied skill and quite a unique voice.

So last week in the livestream version of the episode during the press conference behind scene Jooe said that it was a shame that the queendom team didn't get any of the dance songs that they wanted. And they didn't show the dance battle until this week so I couldn't believe mnet aired that comment with eng subtitles no less. Thankfully they edited it out in the viki version. The dance battle was fun. Hwiseo and Yeoreum were my favorites! The best part about filming the dance performances on a different day is that we get a new Taeyeon outfit :) Bad Blood: Yes, it's inspired by the same movie that Hwasa's Maria was inspired by with the lighters. What I think Simeez was asking when she said "Do you think practice will help?" was do you think you can do it after practicing or is the move too difficult and we need to change it. Also it seems like the choreographers usually expect that the members would have already started learning the choreo but they never have time since they have other performances to prepare for at the same time. With Rian swapping Kei out for Yeeun for that move I assume it's because that move takes a decent amount of core strength and no matter how much Kei practices in the week or two before the performance she's not going to be able to do it. I swear during the live version they also did a rewind on Nana's mistake at the beginning so I felt like the first 30 seconds of this performance was like watching a car crash playing in slow motion complete with zooms, rewinds, and reaction shots. Despite all the mistakes at the beginning I thought they pulled it together for the rest of the performance and I still really liked it. Overwater: Dohwa is a great leader. Normally when one team has too many members the team votes and the loser gets kicked out of the team. Take Utopia from GP999 or the picking of the Puzzle Team for example. Instead the overwater team discussed who they thought would fit the performance/be able to help them out the most and asked Fye if she would join their team. I also assume Fye had no idea what was going on when they asked her if she would join overwater and I loved her response :) They really lucked out having Soojin on their team for all the flexible parts. I'm glad she's finally getting to shine on this show. Gotta love Mnet's editing. They showed the same conversation between the teams twice in the same episode and the first time it seemed like they were just there to bash the puzzle team for Soojin and Jiwoo and then they showed the same chat again and it was so wholesome and everyone was getting along great and having fun. They couldn't have just shown us the whole scene in it's entirety the first time around :) Aside from Soojin's part I felt like the difficulty of this song was less than Bad Blood. So while the Bad Blood team made several mistakes I thought their choreo was a lot harder to begin with. I think Overwater should win by default but I did enjoy the Bad Blood performance more. Is it because I prefer the song or because I'm more biased towards the members? Yes. Web: I thought it was an interesting choice to have another performance with the bands right after Nude the round before. I'm sure that they probably prepared this Choreo well in advance of the show. I'm just saying that when compared to Nude I feel like the Nude choreo was more difficult as each member had multiple bands with the backup dancers pulling the strings. I appreciated Yeoreum's choice to join this team even if she liked Bad Blood more. Having a main dancer on each team to help lead the practice is important. I can't help thinking that Dohwa was right when she said that if you make mistakes during the rehearsal the performance will go well and if you do well in the rehearsal you'll make mistakes in the performance. Fiina nailed the actual performance and the Bad Blood team crashed and burned. I'm glad Yuki got a couple of parts to shine! I thought Yeoreum, Yuki, Riina, Jiwon, and Zoa all stood out in this performance while Jihan and Bora disappeared. I really enjoyed this performance and would vote for it over Glow Up. Glow Up: Is it bad that my favorite part of the performance was when Hwiseo dropped her glasses on to the beat in the intro? :) I thought Elly really stood out here and that move was really cool. At the beginning it looked like they were just throwing her across the room but after Yeonhee stepped in to correct them they nailed it. I'm wondering why she was jumping onto a table or someone's back during practice and she just jumped onto the ground in the performance but it was still awesome. I'm kinda over people just spraying air onto an already painted thing. I don't expect them to tag the whole thing live but at least let them spray a little bit onto it. Hwiseo, Elly, Soeun, Yeonhee, and Juri all stood out to me during this one. Mnet: So even though the Puzzle team is up 3 - 0 that's not how Mnet is counting the points for the round. Instead of best out of 5 they are going to add up the audience's votes for all 5 rounds and the team with the highest total wins. So even though the Queendom team lost the first 3 rounds if they win the dance by a large margin then they can still win. So several episodes ago after the previews they showed that they made 3 songs of 7 members each and that the viewers could vote to assign each member to a specific song. They did a similar thing in GP999. 3 x 7 is 21 and there's 26 contestants so... Now they're finally saying that for the semifinals they are going to eliminate 5 people and only 21 will participate in the finals. Since you've already listed about 14 members in your personal top 7 maybe you might as well tell us your top 21 :) My Personal Top 7 right now is Yeeun, Yeoreum, Yuki, Nana, Kei, Dohwa, and Hwiseo. I'm really loving this dropping on Thursday nights instead of Sunday's at 4 am! I loved the reaction as always and enjoy your weekend!

i want to see queendom team win at least one, i wonder if only there are judges evaluation would the result still be the same 🤔 also, wooyeon literally had to break her back 3 times for Bad Blood performance, hope her spine is okay 😭 finally soojin gets to show more of her dance skill and yeonhee finally gets to perform a different concept
