Progress Update: Inspection Screen

The character engine from Exalted is now integrated into Stationmaster 2 (though I'm still going to do a couple tweaks to improve lighting and the hair shading), and the you can now travel between the main station view and this panel. I'm now working through designing the new inspection UI (It's not where I want it yet, but this seemed like enough of a milestone to push out an image).

Other than the new character framework, the biggest change to this since SM1 is that the inspection screen is no longer just a talk window with some extra stuff bolted on. That means that, in addition to the significantly fancier stat displays, you can also seamlessly rename characters from here.

The patron post is just this image with the censor bars removed, because I know y'all are thirsty. I'd make that public too, but Patreon doesn't allow public posts with nudity (I'll never understand why the powers that be are so terrified of naked people, but here we are).

As always, thanks so much for everything. There's still a ton to do, but it's looking just a little closer every week.

I'm actually ditching the off-screen jobs completely for now because of the number of fully-simulated people on the station. Maybe at some point the visible station will become just the "city center" of a larger population living in the outer towers, but that's not going to be in 0.1.

Btw in SM1 at least incubator slaves and I think also newly aquired slaves could not be sent directly to a "off screen" job ,or what you want to call the ones assigned to the stations on the lower levels and the fuckdolls, without talking to them a second time. Could this possibly be changed since you usually already make that decision the first time you get a look at a slaves stats?

Good catch, but not quite. It's a proxy for "Idle" that doesn't have a UI string yet. I'm making it so that you don't immediately have to give slaves assignments when you get them. There will be an "Idle" assignment that they will automatically get dumped into, and you'll be able to do the introduction at your leisure. This is mostly so that vat-grown slaves don't have to sit in your notification queue forever, and should let you gather a pool before going through the whole assignment / introduction process.

Thanks! I like the idea, but probably won't add it to 0.1. The story-driven event arcs are pretty set-in-stone for each character archetype, mostly because they're already a ton of writing (I'm currently sitting at about 1.5 novels' worth just for the ten or so backgrounds I'm starting with, and I haven't really started with the faction leaders yet).

Also I notice a "sleep" assignment option there... is this just for testing or is it a hint at some sort of a "cryostatis" pod assignment?

Really like the stat petagon on the lower left. Very quick easy-use visual for Tier 1 stats. Related question : Is there any intention in your mind currently to develop out the impacts /functions "Tier 2/3" stats a little further than in station master 1? For example: lets say a character gets geneerated with innate superego resistances to a kink or lesbian interactions - would performing such actions or limiting them to that type of action via the assignment system break down obedience, increase their insanity, etc.? That would open the door for a room/machine/events to "reprogram" the slaves over time to remove mental barriers (or add some) sort of like what I think you were talking about with the story driven interaction arcs.
