Anyway, if you couldn't tell, we're nearing the end. As in The End end. Legend of Ascension will conclude on July 12. The Royal Road version concludes on August 9.
I've been super busy getting everything ready for Amazon. I'd hoped to get everything handled such that I'd have the next story ready to start posting before LoA concluded, but the first half of this year kicked my ass. Such is life.
What does this mean?
So, there's gonna be a gap. How long of one? Looking like ~6 months at minimum. Now seeing as you all expect advance chapters, and after July 12 I won't have any, I'll be pausing billing on July 1st.
The reason I'm doing this is twofold.
1. Doesn't seem fair to charge you for nothing. I don't think I really need to elaborate beyond that.
2. With the launch my next story over on RR, I'm gonna be redoing the Patreon. Two significant changes are gonna happen with the advanced chapter tier. First, I'll be bumping up the number of advanced chapters from 12 to 24. Second, I'm raising the price of the tier from $7 to $10.
So the billing pause is meant to let anyone who's interested in locking in the $7 price they've been paying so far to do so. I figure it's fair to grandfather in anyone who's been supporting me thus far.
Obviously I'm not gonna expect people to stick with the new story sight unseen. When things are ready, I'll post some snippets and early chapters to give everyone a taste of what's to come. Feel free to stick around or not depending on if you think you like the new story's vibe.
Plus, you'll have plenty of advance warning before I unpause billing. So you're not gonna get broadsided by anything.
