I wanted to shoot with you because you're weird.

When PhotoByMikeO asked me to shoot, I wanted to because he makes women look fashiony beautiful and even though I like being weird, I like being beautiful on occasion, too. Yet, preparing for the shoot, packing my bag, and driving there I was nervous because I don't feel I'm that good at or into my hair or makeup! We did the first sets (drink, drank, drunk) and I said I don't know how to be pretty.... it's easier to be weird. He said I actually wanted to work with you BECAUSE you're weird. Because you're creative. I wanted to shoot your style, not mine. He said he wanted to grow and push himself more out of his style and comfort zone, just like I was trying to do the same with him. He said let's do some of you and then we'll do some of my normal style. I said perfect (and that worked out, because it really loosened me up). He said okay, be weird. I felt pressured and on the spot, and grabbed this teal mesh piece of fabric I had in my bag and put it on my head and tied a white ribbon around it envisioning my head as a lollipop and my body as the stick. haha. And, then I started laughing, because I thought I'm so dumb and this is so strange. I stood by the window, because I'm used to fine art nude photographers using natural light (versus the studio lights he has and uses) and I know how to pose with that. He said, Yes!!!! And, off we went. Hope you like. I love these.
