SAVANNA NEWS - July Update

Hey everyone, Squealy here.

It's now been about one year since I opened up this Patreon. I opened this page when we were still in the thick of the pandemic, and stuff was crazy. I wanna just say a massive thank you to all the Patrons who have been here and supported me for this first year, I can't thank you enough honestly.

Now, a year in, I will say that stuff has been tough for this first year, partly from moving, partly from the stress of Covid, and some other personal things I don't want to delve too heavily into at the moment. That said for the first year, while I'm happy I've been able to maintain some level of consistency when it comes to the sketch streams, I wish I could say the same for the animations. My pace when it has come to the animations hasn't been what I want it to be.

In part, half of it would be down to my mental state with trying to work, which if I'm being honest has been poor for the most part, and the other would be that currently I keep biting off more than I should be chewing with each animation. So for the time being I shall be focusing on making shorter animations until I reach a point where I will be able to produce longer ones again.

Secondly, the sketch streams. I'm glad I've been able to keep up with maintaining a fairly consistant schedule, it hasn't been without me getting exhausted. So I'm currently in consideration of spacing the streams out a little bit more. On top of that though, I may also begin streaming on other days of the week, like Monday and Thursday, to bring in some alternation, and also hopefully allowing some more faces to show up when they have not been able to on Sundays. The streams will still start around 7-8PM BST as they normally have. This change isn't set in stone just yet, but I will post a more finalised schedule soon.

I have also been spending a bit of my time working on some of the YCH animations. When the time comes, the WIPs will be posted here first for Patrons about 1-2 days before being posted online for auction, so keep your eyes peeled if you are interested. I'm also going to try and start posting more personal pieces on here in high resolution, since really I don't do enough of that, and more personal projects might help my mood to create in the long run.
