0.7 Status Update #8

This week was mostly spent posing, scripting and working on new renders. There are a couple of big scenes in the 0.7 update and planning the screenplay for them does leave us feeling a bit intimidated. What if it's bad? What if you don't like it? That's always on our mind when creating content and it hasn't gotten any easier with time. However, we have gotten a lot more forgiving when it comes to little problems and perfectionism.
Our focus has always been strongly on the visuals, and that nasty scope creep is always behind the corner wanting more, but we think we've found a good middle ground now. Hopefully that'll keep us in check when it comes to productivity. In the previous update, some render problems caused a lot of headaches when the finished product was always different from what we posed and created. But we've avoided that with 0.7 so far it seems. Yay.
Aside from the renders and scripting, we also worked a little bit on UI and coding. We worked on some interfaces to make them more user friendly. The early versions are always so pixelated and weird to click through, but they might end up decent in the end. We also made a couple of outfits for the side girls in 0.7.

I'd say while doubt and hiccups are a part of the journey, you've got 3k patrons that have confidence in your abilities. So do your best to keep that imposter syndrome at bay, and if you feel that anxiety creeping in, staring at Ms Hill's ponytail for any amount of time provides instant tranquility. #TrustMeBro

Mostly trying to look busy so the boss doesn't give me more work π Anyway, to address your concerns "What if it's bad?" Well if it's bad, you'll pick that up at the quality control stage and change it, no big deal. Besides, I think your standards may well be higher than ours tbf. And what if we don't like it? I mean that's just silly talk, how could we not like it, you guys are awesome! And if you want proof, all you've got to do is go back and look at the criticism from the last update...the criticism wasn't cos what you made wasn't liked, it's cos it was liked too much and people wanted more of it! In short, try not to stress, you guys do you , you're great at it so just try to have as much faith in you as we have in you and when the positive reviews are rolling in, you'll see exactly what I mean. Don't stress guys and have a great weekend ππΎ
